Free Software Movement has arrived on the National Scene !

History was made in Bangalore today! At the valedictory of 2-day National Conference on Free Software-2010 held at a historic announcement was made. 16 Free Software Movements (FSMs) working in various states and sectors came together and decided to form a National Coalition of FSMs. It was named Free Software Movement of India (FSMI). With this historic development Free Software Movement has arrived on the national scene. 275 Delegates elected at the conferences of the respective organisations met at Shikshakara Sadana, Bangalore and took this historic decision.

It is a matter of great pride and excitement for all the IT professionals, Students, Lecturers, Public Sector institution, Free and Open Source Companies and anyone who is related to the Information Technology directly or indirectly in Bangalore that the National Conference On Free Software is being held in Bangalore on March 20 and 21st which would be hosted by the Free Software Movement of Karnataka(FSMK).

"Free Software, Free Society" was the mantra which echoed from every perspective of its applicability in the first day of the National Conference on Free Software-2010, Bengaluru.

With voices of eminent people inclined to, and affiliated to the Free Software Movement and its ideology reverberating in the auditorium, while they were substantiating each and every nuance pertaining to Swatantra Software, the inauguration couldn't be any better.
