Free software or Swatantra / Libre software is software that ensures that every user should have four freedoms:
* the freedom to use the software for any purpose,
* the freedom to change the software to suit your needs,
* the freedom to share the software with your friends and neighbors, and
* the freedom to share the changes you make.
Every subsequent recipient of the modified or unmodified software must
also be guaranteed all four freedoms without dilution.
We FSMK are a team of individuals from the IT-Education sectors involved in various free software related technical activities in Karnataka. Our interest is in strengthening the technical skills of our students and professionals using the various possibilities of free software.
